A newly introduced Mentoring Forum track will replace the Works-in-Progress track and provide unique opportunities for participation by students and postdoctoral researchers. Building on its successful introduction in 2020, the 2022 Haptics Symposium will again feature a IEEE Transactions on Haptics journal track. Papers accepted to this track will be presented at the conference and simultaneously published as short papers in IEEE Transactions on Haptics. These papers are up to 6 pages in length, including references.

Following its successful launch at the 2018 Haptics Symposium, the Cross-Cutting Challenges (CCC) submission category will be held again at the 2022 Haptics Symposium.
